The catalyst that changed my life wasn't the adversity I faced, but the choice I made in its wake to define my own future.
It was an exciting new chapter in my life; everything seemed perfect as I anticipated the birth of my son in just four months. I was finally making decent money and had my first home. Just days after getting married, in February 2011, I was fired for going home for lunch.
It felt like a cruel twist of fate, an unexpected blow. In January of that same year, I was the top salesperson working for a builder selling new homes. I couldn’t understand how one action could tarnish the reputation I had built. There I was, a newlywed with a baby on the way, and I was suddenly faced with the harsh reality of unemployment.
At that moment, I had a choice to make. I could succumb to despair and uncertainty, allowing this setback to define my future. Or I could let resilience and strength serve as my guiding light forward.
No matter what life throws at me, I have always kept going, learning from my mistakes and overcoming obstacles. For most of my life, my mother struggled with addiction. She didn’t have a good education growing up and couldn’t read. So, as a kid, when I came home with homework, I had to figure it out myself. I struggled through school initially, but I realized confidence was the greatest thing I was missing. When I began to focus more and believe in myself, everything changed.
No one around me went to college, so it was a shock to learn during high school that I could get scholarships and attend college for free. I jumped at the opportunity, wanting to do the opposite of those around me, building a different life for myself.
My grandfather was one of the few people in my life who had everything together; a big part of that was owning real estate. He helped everyone, giving back and using his money for good. It always inspired me, and I wanted to find a way to do the same. Following in his footsteps, I began working for a builder.
When I lost my job, it threatened to derail everything I had worked so hard for. My son was the ultimate motivator—I didn’t want him to face any of the struggles I did growing up. I was determined to leave a legacy, to build a future that would provide him with opportunities and security. It was a promise I made to myself and him—a promise that would guide every decision I made from that moment forward.
In the face of adversity, I made a choice to pursue my dreams relentlessly. I realized I’d never get ahead until I became an expert at something. I immersed myself in the world of real estate, using
every setback as a stepping stone. It was the perfect fit, allowing me to connect with people and help them make great investments for their future. Within a few years, I had built a great reputation and created a successful team. In 2016, I bought my dream car, a red Model S Tesla, as a symbol of how far I had come.
Today, I not only have my real estate business but several other businesses and investment ventures. None of this would be possible without the right mindset. Now, it’s my mission to instill values of hard work, consistency and determination into my son, Jaiden. As a young man, basketball has been a great way to develop these values. It is not only my goal to provide him with a great life but to teach him the skills he will need to succeed.
Creating a legacy was one of the most important goals I had on my journey into real estate. It is also a goal many of my clients share. Building generational wealth became a core part of what I do. If I can help an individual and their family make great real estate investments, I have helped them and their future generations. I'm a self-driven individual, and I'm willing to put in the hard work and long hours to succeed. When my clients need me, I am available and ready to jump at a moment's notice.
As a relationship agent, I am always working to build and maintain strong connections with my clients. Creating memorable experiences for my clients, such as client parties or simply grabbing a coffee together, is one of my favorite things to do. So, when you work with me, I am not here just for the transaction. I will remain your trusted real estate agent and friend long after closing, offering my support and professional guidance for each new chapter in your journey.
Sincerely,
